World’s Best Airport 2026 is in Singapore

While the global aviation industry gathers this week in Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg – the leading trade show dedicated to aircraft cabin innovation, interiors, and onboard passenger experience – we examine another key benchmark shaping the global aviation industry: the 2026 Skytrax World Airport Awards.

Taking the top spot once again is Singapore Changi Airport, maintaining its position as the world’s best airport for another year and also securing the award for World’s Best Airport Immigration 2026.

Other key category winners include: London Heathrow Airport for World’s Best Airport Shopping; Hong Kong International Airport for both World’s Best Airport Washrooms and World’s Best Airport Security; Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport for World’s Best Baggage Delivery; Narita International Airport for World’s Best Airport Staff and Haneda Airport as the World’s Cleanest Airport.

Asian airports dominated the top three rankings and secured a significant share of the category awards, reinforcing the region’s leadership not only in overall performance but also across key aspects of the passenger experience, from immigration and security to cleanliness and service quality.

In Europe, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport ranked sixth globally, making it the highest-ranked airport on the continent.

A notable new entrant into the top 20 this year is King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which climbed to 14th place globally and was also named the World’s Most Improved Airport at the 2026 Skytrax Awards.

The achievement reflects the scale and pace of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing investment in aviation infrastructure and passenger experience.

The awards are based on a global customer satisfaction survey conducted between August 2025 and February 2026, with passengers from more than 100 countries evaluating over 575 airports worldwide across the full end-to-end travel experience.
