United Airlines has opened bookings for its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner featuring the new “Elevated” interior, marking a major upgrade to its long-haul product.
The aircraft introduces a redesigned cabin across all classes, including the debut of United Polaris Studio suites – eight oversized, lie-flat seats with doors, 25% more space than standard Polaris, and features such as an ottoman seat, upgraded dining and large 4K OLED screens. The suites also include Saks Fifth Avenue bedding.
In total, the aircraft will offer 99 premium seats, one of the highest ratios among U.S. carriers. Across all cabins, passengers will see larger 4K OLED seatback screens and Bluetooth connectivity at every seat, alongside updates to Premium Plus and Economy.
The first international flight is scheduled for April 22 from San Francisco to Singapore, followed by a second route to London on April 30. United plans to introduce at least 30 Boeing 787-9 aircraft with the new interior by 2027.
