SkyNook suite named finalist for 2026 Crystal Cabin Award

Collins Aerospace’s SkyNook suite has been named a finalist for the 2026 Crystal Cabin Award, recognising an innovative concept designed to transform underused space at the aft of widebody aircraft.
SkyNook is conceived as a semi-private retreat located at the rear of the cabin. The concept reimagines areas that are often underutilised, converting them into a flexible space designed to accommodate a variety of passenger needs.
The suite could serve families travelling together, passengers flying with service animals or pets, individuals with sensory sensitivities, or travellers carrying fragile or bulky items that cannot be checked.
A deployable privacy divider helps dampen cabin noise while also creating a visual barrier from the aisle, lavatory queues and galley traffic, offering passengers a quieter and more comfortable environment within the aircraft cabin.
The Crystal Cabin Award is an international recognition celebrating innovation, excellence and creativity in aircraft cabin interior design that enhances the air travel experience. Winners of the 2026 Crystal Cabin Award will be announced on 14 April during a ceremony held as part of the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg.
Concepts such as SkyNook show how airlines and cabin manufacturers are rethinking unused aircraft space while introducing new levels of comfort and flexibility for passengers. We find this an exceptional idea that could meaningfully improve the inflight experience.
