A New Class of Travel: Magnifica Air – First Class Comfort, Private Jet Privacy

A new premium airline is preparing to reshape high-end travel in the United States. Magnifica Air, launching in 2027, positions itself between commercial first class and private aviation, offering scheduled flights with the privacy, exclusivity and personalised service typically found in private jet travel.
The airline plans to begin operations with six Airbus A220-300s and two Airbus A321neos, with the first aircraft expected before the end of this year. Following certification and interior completion, Magnifica intends to enter service within 18 months and grow its fleet to 25 aircraft within four years. The airline is partnering with Comlux, the Swiss-based VIP aviation specialist known for ultra-high-end aircraft interiors.
The Airbus A220-300 will feature 54 first class seats, including two private suites at the front, while the larger Airbus A321neo will offer 44–46 fully flat seats and four private suites at the front. There will be a lounge/bar area at the rear of the planes.
Magnifica extends its service beyond the cabin, allowing guests to arrive just 30 minutes before departure with white-glove baggage handling throughout the journey. Pre-flight lounges will offer fine dining and wellness amenities, and on arrival, checked bags are promised within 10 minutes, with chauffeurs waiting curbside for onward transfers.
“This is more than transportation – it’s a movement, redefining how discerning guests experience the skies,” says Wade Black, CEO of Magnifica Air. “We are combining the privacy and intimacy of a private jet with the cultural relevance and operational scope of a world-class airline.”
The airline will launch with daily services between Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston and San Francisco, along with seasonal flights to Napa Valley and the Caribbean. Magnifica will also offer a charter service option using its fleet.
The Sleepflyer Verdict
Magnifica Air enters a fast-evolving space in premium aviation—one that favours privacy, design intelligence and time efficiency over legacy carrier luxury. In an era where time is the new currency and rest is a rarity, Magnifica’s proposition speaks to a new generation of premium flyers who value seamless transitions from ground to air. If the airline integrates sleep-focused lighting, acoustic insulation and high-quality bedding, it has the potential to become one of the most rest-forward premium airlines in the market. We wish Magnifica a successful launch and hope to see future expansion into Europe and beyond.
