American Airlines serves caviar to mark 100th anniversary

American Airlines is celebrating its 100th anniversary with the launch of celebratory inflight menus, including caviar service in premium cabins.
As of today, passengers can preorder the anniversary menus for March flights in international and transcontinental Flagship® First and Flagship® Business. The offering will expand in April – the airline’s centennial month – with a rollout in domestic First Class.
The domestic First Class menu features modern interpretations of popular 1920s dishes, reflecting the era in which the airline was founded. Highlights include a crisp Waldorf salad, Boursin cream cheese dip (available on domestic long-haul routes), Beef Wellington with roasted vegetables and asparagus with bearnaise sauce, and a pecan tart for dessert.
Customers traveling in international Business Class and transcontinental Business Class will experience a more refined menu inspired by 1920s hotel dining. The appetizer course includes a classic prawn cocktail and Waldorf salad.
In April, the starter is further elevated with caviar, blinis and a deviled egg finished with crème fraîche – a rare addition that brings a celebratory First Class touch to the Business Class experience.
Main course selections include Beef Wellington with bearnaise sauce and roasted vegetables, as well as chicken Florentine roulade served with mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce.
The limited-time menus form part of American Airlines’ broader centennial celebrations and underline the continued link between premium inflight dining and the overall long-haul comfort experience.
