LATAM unveils a new premium experience on its A321XLR

LATAM Airlines Group is set to introduce a new premium experience on its future Airbus A321XLR fleet, becoming the first airline in South America to offer full-flat suites on single-aisle aircraft.
The new aircraft, expected to begin arriving in 2027, will feature Thompson Aero Seating’s VantageSOLO suites in a 1-1 configuration, giving every Premium Business passenger direct aisle access, a full-flat bed and an individual privacy door. The new cabin is intended to bring long-haul standards of comfort, connectivity and privacy to LATAM’s single-aisle aircraft.
The cabin concept, unveiled during Aircraft Interiors Expo, was developed in collaboration with PriestmanGoode, which advised on the design vision, material selection and finishes. The design concept seeks to reflect the spirit of South America through a contemporary aesthetic inspired by the region’s landscapes, materials and contrasts.
The A321XLR will accommodate more than 170 passengers across Premium Business and Economy cabins. Economy will be configured in a 3-3 layout with Recaro R3 seats.
LATAM will also introduce an upgraded onboard experience on the aircraft, including Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth integration and, for the first time on its single-aisle fleet, individual inflight entertainment screens.
LATAM has commitments for more than 10 A321XLR aircraft, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2027, as part of its broader fleet modernisation plans.
