Brussels Airlines has announced a series of onboard upgrades aimed at enhancing the passenger experience across its long-haul and short-haul network.
Premium Economy will see several improvements throughout 2026. Passengers can expect new tableware featuring premium chinaware, steel cutlery and an upgraded napkin, alongside three hot meal choices during the main meal service. The airline is also introducing an enhanced starter, improved pre-landing meals on longer flights, printed menu cards and upgraded headphones for the inflight entertainment system. The new tableware is scheduled to debut from mid-March.
Economy Class passengers on long-haul flights will benefit from an additional food component added to the main meal tray, further expanding the onboard dining offer.
Short-haul Business Class will also receive service enhancements. Passengers will be welcomed with fresh towels and a bottle of water before take-off, while a curtain divider between Business Class and Economy Class will be introduced to create a clearer separation between the cabins.
On long-haul Business Class flights departing from Brussels, the airline is introducing a new culinary concept developed by two-Michelin-starred chef Glen Verhasselt. The menus will highlight Belgian cuisine and seasonal ingredients, bringing a stronger sense of national identity to the onboard dining experience.
Looking ahead, Brussels Airlines plans to gradually introduce a completely new cabin interior across its long-haul fleet, further enhancing the inflight experience on intercontinental routes. The upgrade will span all three cabin classes: Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.
On the ground, the airline’s flagship lounge, THE LOFT at Brussels Airport, is set to reopen by the end of summer 2026 following a full renovation.
