London City Airport finally gets its first passenger lounge

After nearly four decades of operation, London City Airport is finally set to open its first in-terminal passenger lounge.

Scheduled to welcome guests in early 2027, the new Aspire Lounge marks a significant milestone for one of Europe’s most popular business airports. Despite its reputation for fast security, short walking distances and its unrivalled proximity to the City of London and Canary Wharf, London City Airport has never before offered an in-terminal passenger lounge.

The new lounge will feature runway views, a central cocktail bar, a barista station serving locally roasted coffee, complimentary food and beverages, dedicated workspaces with private booths and a range of quiet seating areas designed for both business and leisure travellers. Access will be available through advance bookings, walk-in purchases and, in the future, an annual membership.

The addition of the Aspire Lounge further enhances the airport’s premium offering as London City Airport approaches its 40th anniversary, adding a long-awaited amenity to an airport renowned for its speed, convenience and central location.
