Sleeping above the clouds: Air France teams up with Sofitel for a new Business Class experience

Air France has introduced a new comfort feature for its long-haul Business Class passengers through a partnership with Sofitel, placing an even stronger focus on rest and sleep quality onboard.
Developed in collaboration with Sofitel MY BED, the luxury hotel brand’s signature bedding concept, the new mattress pad has been created exclusively for Air France Business Class. It is designed to add an extra comfort layer to the seat, with the aim of improving the overall sleep experience on long-haul flights.
“Especially created for the airline’s Business Class customers, this mattress pad has been carefully crafted and designed to make passengers feel like they’re floating on a cloud,” Air France explains. The pad can be rolled out directly onto the seat, adding softness and creating what the airline describes as a cocoon of well-being. It is intended to enhance comfort in every seat position, offering favourable conditions for relaxation from takeoff to landing.
The rollout began in July 2025 and is now available across all Air France long-haul Business Class flights – on every route, regardless of departure time or flight duration – ensuring a consistent experience both on daytime services and overnight flights.
Beyond Business Class, Air France has also shared updates regarding its most exclusive cabin. In 2026, the airline will expand La Première, its First Class service, to additional destinations in the United States, including Boston, Houston, and Atlanta. This follows the recent introduction of La Première on flights to Tel Aviv, where the service has been available since December 15.
