Launching 2026: ANA’s The Room FX – The World’s Largest Business Class Seat on a Mid-Sized Aircraft

While many airlines continue to prioritize squeezing more passengers into less space, Japan‘s largest carrier is charting the opposite course.
Starting in 2026, ANA will introduce its next-generation business-class seat, The Room FX, on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet.
Each suite measures an impressive 41.5 inches wide, with a fully flat bed stretching to 76.5 inches. A total of 48 The Room FX suites will be installed across two cabins, arranged in a one-two-one layout over 12 rows. The configuration alternates between forward- and rear-facing seats, ensuring direct aisle access for every passenger.
Designed with privacy and comfort in mind, the suites feature high sidewalls and sliding doors, creating a cocoon-like, self-contained space. Amenities include a spacious side console with hidden storage, a 24-inch 4K entertainment screen, Bluetooth audio connectivity, wireless charging, plus USB-A, USB-C, and AC outlets.
The new cabins will be rolled out on long-haul routes linking Tokyo with North America, Europe, and Australia.
ANA, well done!
We look forward to seeing and experiencing the product.
